In the dusty mountains of Afghanistan, the Soviets once again find themselves ambushed by Afghan Mujahideen as they run valuable supplies up to one of their forward bases along the ever-dangerous Pamir Highway. The lead vehicle of an armored convoy of Soviet APCs and trucks has hit an improvised explosive device and is sitting burning on the road. Its compatriots find themselves surrounded by enemies; the Soviets must either fight their way through the ambush or join the corpses littering Afghanistan's mountains.
